About me
Hi, I'm Olivia McAlister,
I am a graphic illustrator whose work visualises medicine through a contemporary and modern lens. I like to blend traditional medical diagrams with inspiration from 1970s graphic design.
I create all my work traditionally using pencil, ink and tracing paper, which I then manipulate digitally before printing the final image on the risograph. The risograph is integral to my practice; I believe it allows me to deconstruct my subjects and view them layer by layer. An idea which permeates each step of my creation process.
